The Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Benjamin Zander, will open its 2016 2017 season with an all-Russian program. This program spans three centuries of Russian music and features the Boston premiere of contemporary composer Lera Auerbach’s Icarus and pianist Ya-Fei Chuang in Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini.
