You may have noticed that we've been sharing a lot of Beethoven recently. This coming week marks 250 years since his birth, a milestone we had planned to celebrate with performances of his Ninth Symphony both in Boston and New York this fall.

While those plans had to be put on hold, we invite you to listen to this 10-minute interpretation class on the tenor aria from the last movement of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, featuring tenor David Rivera Bozón and pianist Pierre-Nicolas Colombat

Have you heard the term "sonata form" used to describe music and wondered what it refers to? Maestro Zander explains and illustrates in this three-minute video from his pre-concert lecture, which goes along with this five-minute Boston Philharmonic Orchestra performance of Glinka's Overture to Ruslan and Lyudmila
