As we venture into the new year, we are pleased to bring you a newly-released recording of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra performing Brahms's First Symphony, recorded in October, 2018.

In his pre-concert talk, Maestro Zander explains that "Brahms dramatized ambiguity...every element is in conflict." He also promises that "the rewards are very great for the fiercely attentive." Maestro Zander calls this symphony one of his desert island pieces. We invite you to settle down in a comfortable spot with a good set of earphones and see whether it makes your desert island list!

We send our warmest wishes to you and your loved ones this weekend.
