Today we bring you an Interpretations of Music: Lessons for Life class featuring the Prelude from Bach's Cello Suite No. 2 in D Minor, performed by Amanda Chi,

who was principal cellist in the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra when this class was filmed. Maestro Zander outlines the structure of the movement and coaches: "Your job is to teach [the audience] what is happening in the piece...In a sense you're going on a journey...Think of taking [the audience] with you." We feel confident you will enjoy joining them on this journey!

For those interested in more insights into Bach's solo string repertoire, Boston Philharmonic Orchestra concertmaster Joanna Kurkowicz invites you to her free online lecture on Saturday, April 24 at 7:30 PM, entitled Bach and Beyond

We send our warmest wishes to you and your loved ones this weekend. Happy listening!
