“In the BPYO I’ve learned things about life that I didn’t think were possible. Since the BPYO is all about possibility I guess this shouldn’t be surprising, but every time something ‘impossible’ happens it IS surprising. I didn’t think that some of the music we played would be possible. High school students playing Wagner’s Siegfried?? Or my experience last year playing the Berg Violin Concerto with the orchestra. It’s a piece that even a professional orchestra would find hard, and I was amazed at how everything just seemed to fall into place by the time of the performance. Everybody got enrolled in this music, which is often thought of as being forbiddingly difficult.
